Gives off a strange sensation that I’ve not felt much before— the first sip hits you as a hollow sweetness, and then, in your mouth, the swallow and aftertaste just get progressively sweeter. I’m not sure how/why this works, but it’s unpleasant. The sweetness feels unnatural as well, and the chocolate flavor is not at all worth the trouble.
Smells like joint compound- the type that goes on purple and dries white. The consistency is smooth but not entirely ‘milky’— it’s ‘off’ just enough to suspect foul play. Flavorwise, it’s only mildly sweet, not chocolaty, and has a raw, sour note that is weak, but congruent with its industrial bouquet.
Smells a lot better than it tastes. The hazelnut flavor carries a slight bitterness before the sweetness of the remainder of the drink can register. It’s fairly thick, surprisingly smooth, and fairly creamy— but there's no cocoa flavor to offset the nutty funk.
I’ve never actually wrung out damp tree bark and lapped the drippings, but this would be the flavor that I reckon would result. Water-thin, highly unsweet, 80% earthy, 15% wheaty, and the last 5% is hard to put a finger on, but for now let’s file it under ‘lichens.’
Scurries down your throat as if it's surprised it even got past your lips— a vile, parasitic maneuver. Deceptively thin and watery, it launches an unpleasant ferrous assault on your interior. Three sips was enough for me, and I do this kind of thing for fun.
Chalky, grainy, and terrible flavor that is closer to anise (black licorice) than cocoa. I’ve had a lot of protein-enriched chocolate milks in recent months, and most are more palatable than this.
Dead bland… No sweetness, salt, cream, cocoa— just a thick, chalky fluid that tricked me into consuming it. Won't happen again.
Chalky, metallic, and artificially sweet— there’s not much reason to pursue this for taste purposes (I’m sure most people drink it for other reasons). Leaves an unpleasant aftertaste that is hard to shake.
Smoother texture than the non-light versions, and the horrendous taste is muted to enough of an extent that it *improves* the score. It’s the darkest product I’ve sampled thus far— reminiscent of crude oil.
Cocoa flavor isn’t terribly bad (perhaps has a slightly burnt quality) and the consistency manages to be rough and watery at the same time. The aftertaste doesn't do it any favors and leaves a tingling in the back of the throat.
Plasticky-looking and even has those tiny bubbles that make it look like it’s being tested for tuberculosis. The taste had a chemical fake-ness to it but it wasn't as strong as you’d expect by looking at it. Low marks, and an unceremonious product to be the 400th I have sampled thus far.
Synthetic look, feel, and taste to it. It reminds me of one of those non-dairy fortified supplement drinks. You could convince yourself that there's chocolate flavor in there somewhere, but why go through the anguish of drinking it.
Nothing at all in common with the UHT or fresh version, which you’d think would be a good thing— but this stuff should not be sold in its current form. A foul, mineral-y, yet watery taste— they clearly added extra coloring to convince you it’s chocolate and not carwash runoff.
Worlds apart from its boxed counterpart— which appear to differ only by a couple calories (and the packaging). This is much lighter complected, thinner, and sports a fruity quality (cherry?) that drowns out the chocolate or anything else pleasant. Just double-checked the date— seems to be in code.
Watery, wheaty (much more so than malty), and vitamin-y tasting— all three of which are not positive characteristics.
The nasty gray color is reminiscent of a highly polluted river, and the taste might be worse. I would describe it as sweet and ferrous. Please avoid.
Very attractive appearance (bright brown, chalky) but the taste comes off as fortified to a metallic extent. Like a chalky, grainy, mouthful of pennies with some cocoa flavor sprinkled in.
Strange, gamey flavor that fortunately dissipates quickly. Do not drink this if chocolate milk is what you are after.
Super thick and painfully fake-feeling texture that delivers an overly sweet artificial tasting ‘chocolate’ essence. Those who enjoy British chocolate may like this, as it has that sort of flavor which is not ideal for me.
Metallic taste, artificial feeling texture and sweetness— not something most people would enjoy. If you need a low-calorie option in Switzerland, ‘Coop Chocato Drink 0.2% Fat’ is a slightly tastier choice.
