FruVita Czekoladowym Milk Shake

That same gummy, liquid-marshmallowy nastiness that I’ve grown accustomed to throughout Europe, as there are so many products that seem to be this exact formulation (or derivatives thereof). The packaging is neat and enticing here, but that's where the fun ends.

Milfina Schokolade Milkshake

Flavor is slightly better than some of the other cupped milkshakes I've had in recent times, but the goopy thickness is difficult for me to get past. There are way more indulgent tasting products that don't carry nearly the caloric price tag that this does.

Felegyhazi Tej Kakao

Has a bit of a sugary/sticky feel to it and delivers a candied chocolate flavor that feels immature and overly sweet. Heavier does of cream wouldn’t hurt, but the underlying cocoa flavor isn’t one that is worth trying to enhance through embellishment of the supporting cast.

Spar Budget Milch Shake Schoko

Extremely thick, but maintains some creamy aspect which is the drink’s high point. There’s really no cocoa flavor, or no other flavor in particular that comes to the surface. It is like a toned-down, more pleasant version of the nasty thick cupped milkshakes that plague much of northern and central Europe.

Candia Candy Up Cokolada

Sweet and earthy— not my preferred framing of a chocolate milk. It feels inauthentic as a result, and might have you checking if milk is the first ingredient (or if this is one of those water-based chocolate ‘drinks’).

Arruda's Dairy Farms Chocolate Milk

Really odd cocoa flavor that dissipates quickly— perhaps because the fat content doesn't seem to deliver on the creamy expectations the numbers might provide. It has great aesthetics, but for me, doesn't deliver on the chocolaty or creamy hopes that you might have for it.

Hood Chocolate Milk Fat Free Milk

Thin and super smooth— and the positive qualities end there. It’s a sullen-looking gray color that delivers no enjoyable flavor characteristics. A mild sweetness is the only thing that registers on the palate, and although it’s smooth, it feels a little plasticky.

Fujiya Milky Cocoa

Grainy and provides a drying sensation in the mouth. Noticeably chocolate flavor, but it's not particularly good-tasting chocolate. It's potable, especially coming from a can, and it may be less sweet than you'd expect. Nonetheless, it's a lower-tier option.

Van Houten Cocoa (280mL)

Emulsified, but watery. Cocoa presence, but…watery. Deep down, it wants to be good— it wants to taste like hot chocolate, but the flavor is too washed out, making the taste incongruous with the average-thickness texture.
